End of Summer

The boys and I had a nice visit to Bellingham earlier this month, and Billy had his first swim in the lake. What a fabulous place to visit, and we had the perfect weather for playing in the water.

Papa also took Billy for a ride in his boat!

...And took Benjamin and I over to visit his garden.

Aunt Ruthie set Billy up with an officer for a full tour of a police car. Thanks, Ruth!!

Last week I took the boys to Northwest Trek. It was a nice cool day and we got to see lots of animals. Billy's favorite part was still the popsicle he had a snack time, though! I loved seeing the wolves.

The official end to summer came today, when Billy started school. What an exciting day for us all!!! Stu and I are so excited for Billy, and Benjamin shares in the excitement as well.

We love Billy's imagination and this shot just makes me smile. That's the best use for a Happy Meal box I can think of! We celebrated Billy's 5th birthday at Charlie's Safari in Lacey. The kids had a great time.

Here's Luke on one of the inflatable slides ...and the kids enjoying their pizza and pop lunch. Four friends came with their siblings, making it a perfect 10 for the party.

The next few shots are of the Hawthorne removal process in the front yard. It was hard work, but also fun for all.

Meet Morgan, Billy's adorable friend from preschool. She's been busy this summer and we haven't yet managed a play date; Billy's mentioned how much he misses her several times. This picture was taken during a preschool field trip to the beach this spring. She has a little crab in her palm.

Benjamin continues to be adorable as well.

The boys enjoyed the porch swing of our KOA camping cabin in Leavenworth this June.

And they have also quite enjoyed some summer fun at home!! Hope you're enjoying yours :)
