Cousins!!

We've enjoyed getting together with our cousins over the last few months. It was quite a treat to have all the Baker cousins together in December, for pizza and conversation in Seattle. Also in December, we had a fun visit with Ginna, Kyle, and Kaitlyn. We rode the monorail together, and visited the Children's Museum. And in January the boys and I got to meet our newest cousin, baby Ewan! (I loved how Ben called my cousin Erica, Momma Ewan!) Billy loved holding Ewan, and Ben enjoyed playing with Avery. It's great to have family close by.

Personality!!

Our "little" Benjamin has quite a lot of personality for a 2 year old. He's been surprizing us and making us laugh; I thought I'd share a few anecdotes.

A few mornings ago after Billy woke up he went in and snuggled into bed with Stu. Ben was at the table starting to munch on his morning snack mix, (cheerios, almonds, and raisins-- which he requests every morning before breakfast,) when Billy and Stu started to call to him, trying to entice him into bed. He did not want to be disturbed, and yelled out "CLOSE the DOOR!!" As they continued to call, he repeated himself... I had to laugh.

Tonight, as Stu was watching some boxing on TV, Ben wandered out. He was excited to see the boxers and told Stu he wanted "some of those," pointing at the red boxing gloves. Then he spoke up and said, "I want to fight those boys!!" Oh BOY!!
